It’s possible that The Rocky Horror Glee Show episode is the most anticipated episode in Glee’s history but with it comes a question mark. We all know this episode won’t kill the wildly successful Glee but considering the drama around various Glee happenings there will be some backlash.
For some reason, somehow, somewhere a bunch of people got the idea that Glee is supposed to be a wholesome family show. This could be due to the early episodes that highlighted Quinn’s religion and abstinence. As we all know that went out the door really fast. All it took was Puck, some wine coolers and a compliment to end that fantasy. When it did happen there was some outcry from select viewers about the morality of it.
Now there’s the whole GQ photo scandal. The Parent Television Council (PTC) is claiming the GQ photos were bordering on pedophilia and that it was near pornographic. Dianna Agron (Quinn) even posted an apology about it on her blog but she was well aware of the GQ market and did also mention celebrities like Madonna and Britney pushing the envelope.
That brings us to question, have the people up in arms ever watched the show? Glee has had episodes dedicated to some of the raunchiest female music stars around. Madonna and Britney who can get very explicit in live shows have been done, Lady Gaga who prances around nearly nude and wears meat bikinis has her own episode and it’s only a matter of time before others get their spotlight in the Glee-sphere.
So, I would warn the sensitive types that before they watch The Rocky Horror Glee Show episode stop and think. This episode is based on a movie that although comedic is also largely about sex and transvestite aliens. During the whole show people dance around in skimpy lingerie, talk about and have sex with each other and then sing about it. If you are sensitive or you have kids this may be a good episode to skip.Read More >>

Since his mysterious absence from Glee’s Duets episode Puck, or should I say Mark Salling, has been the talk of the Net. With him missing out on the upcoming The Rocky Horror Glee Show episode there will be even more people wondering what’s up with Mark. I wrote about the missing Puck a few days back (see Where’s Puck) and since that post there hasn’t been a lot of information regarding the no Puck episodes.
The current spin seems to be that Mark took a couple episodes off to finish and promote his debut album “Pipe Dreams” which is set to hit stores on October 25. Still, I’m a bit sceptical. If that was the case why wouldn’t their be an official response from the Glee camp or even Mark about the scheduled break? Seems a tad fishy to me.
On October 21 he was celebrating his album release at the BlackBerry BBM Lounge in Hollywood and there’s been several radio, web interviews and even a Twitter based interview or Twitterview. Mark has been quite productive during his break from Glee. He seems to be everywhere promoting his work and commenting on Glee happenings such as the recent GQ photo shoot but again, no comment on his break.
While we wait to hear the whole truth and nothing but the truth of it we’ll just have to be happy in the knowledge that our troublemaking Puck is back soon. As noted previously, Mark Salling and Puck will be in the November 9th episode “Never Been Kissed”.Read More >>

The love triangle jumps from Glee to the November issue of GQ as Lea Michele (Rachel), Cory Monteith (Finn) and Dianna Agron (Quinn) pose for some sexy pics. Actually the sexy pictures seem to be mostly from Lea Michele with a little Dianna Agron hotness thrown in. Cory maintains his schoolboy persona throughout the shoot seemingly happy to just be near the sexy girls.
There’s a little for everyone with the pictures when you consider the most skin shown by Cory Monteith is his forearms. Follow that up with Dianna Agron in some sexy cheerleading outfits and short skirts and all seems fairly normal. Then you have Lea Michele who seems to be having a hard time finding any clothes to go over her panties and lingerie. I can fully understand that, I often struggle with finding something good to wear. Although I don’t usually photograph it, I mean, I never photograph it.
I’m not sure if Lea Michele is feeling repressed by her prudish character, or if the previous topless Marie Claire photo shoot or maybe even The Rocky Horror Glee Show episode brought out the sexy beast in her. Whatever it is the photos will be considered raunchy by some and it’s not like Glee needs any extra publicity to gain viewers. It will be interesting to see if there is any backlash from the show as last year people we up in arms about the purity queen Quinn Fabray being knocked up.
Pictures aside, there is an actual article related to the cast members and Glee. In it they talk about their real life high school experiences, their roles in the show, the rumors about Lea and Dianna having an affair, how there is a ‘no sex’ rule in the casts trailers and a bunch more about the show. The full article can be found in the November issue of GQ or read online at Glee Gone Wild. Note: You need to be a member to read the complete article online but they offer a good sized chunk of it to visitors.Read More >>

It seems the Glee adaptation of The Rocky Horror Picture Show (The Rocky Horror Glee Show) is already making waves. The highly anticipated episode brings in its wake rumors that Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy may be the man to redo the 1975 cult classic. Word has it Ryan Murphy has been approached by Fox 2000 to helm the sci-fi musical burlesque comedy horror b-movie remake project.
What makes this news a bit odd is that Glee’s take, The Rocky Horror Glee Show, is being directed by Adam Shankman and not Ryan Murphy. Murphy has limited directing credits with a large portion of that coming from Glee. Shankman may actually be the best choice for the remake considering his success as a director, producer and choreographer. Murphy has met with the studio but has not signed on to the project as of yet.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show is in the record books for the longest running theatrical release in film history. It has grossed over $100 million and to-date continues to boast a large following. The Library of Congress in 2005 selected the film for preservation in the National Film Registry as being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant.” It starred Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick and was written by Richard O’Brien and directed by Jim Sharman.Read More >>

At the start of the Duets episode Mr. Schuester announced Puck was in Juvie on some trumped up larceny charges. Glee camp reports say he won’t be around for the next episode either. This is an interesting sign as Mark was set to play the Meat Loaf role of Eddie in the Rocky Horror Glee Show episode. The net is abuzz with inside sources reporting on the status of Mark Salling and Glee.
One on-set source is claiming the reason for Puck’s absence is a contract issue due to his solo career. This source reports that Mark Salling has been placed on an indefinite hiatus because of it.
Another inside source contradicts that claim stating that Mark Salling is still a series regular and is expected to return in the 6th episode. According to this insider the episode revolves around Puck.
To complicate matters further an insider was quoted as saying, “Mark would never prioritize anything over the show. He respects the executives and his cast too much to do that.” That too was contradicted by another source that states, “Mark has been really focused on his own music and it’s actually gotten in the way of his Glee stuff” and, “His band means the world to him and he thinks that’s more important than the show at this point.”
No statements has been made by the show executives or Mark Salling and the general belief seems to be that it was just a creative decision. Still, one has to wonder. I get a bit concerned about Mark’s future on Glee when Puck mysteriously vanishes from a couple of episodes, one he was definitely in and would be great fun to film (Rocky Horror). That and the cast recently being shafted when it comes to song royalties, Mark’s obvious desires for his music career and the rumors swirling that this is a message being sent to him by show execs. It just looks a bit gloomy for the future of our favorite Glee bad boy.Read More >>

What was the cast of Glee able to do in 16 months that the Beatles couldn’t accomplish in 32 years? Take the 3rd position on Billboard’s Most Hot 100 Appearances list. The Beatles have 71 appearances on the Hot 100 which ranked them number 5 on the all time list. They’re now at number 6. The Glee cast have 75 appearances that have made the Hot 100 which puts them past superstars Elton John (67), The Beatles (71), Aretha Franklin (73) and Ray Charles (74).
One may argue the show and cast have made this milestone on the backs of others. True enough, the listed artists had to write and perform their own music where the Glee gang is only covering past hits. Even so, this is still a great feat. At any time a person or band could have covered these hits and shot for the record but it hasn’t happened until now. Even the super successful American Idol hasn’t accomplished this feat in its 9 seasons.
Since Glee has passed The Beatles they now officially hold the record for most non-solo acts on the Hot 100 Appearances list. After The Beatles the next non-solo act is The Rolling Stones with 57 appearances which ranks them 3rd for non-solo acts and 9th out of all acts.
Still holding their position is James Brown with 91 appearances and Elvis with 108. With the Glee machine churning out roughly 5 hits per week during its season it won’t take long for them to take down the remaining greats.Read More >>
